Lamb Chops with Tzatziki Sauce

Enjoy many of the flavors in a gyro in this quick-to-make lamb and Tzatziki sauce.


Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 c. plain yogurt
  • ½ tsp. Oregano Leaf
  • ½ tsp. garlic salt
  • ½ tsp. Ground Black Pepper
  • ½ cucumber, quartered and thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced

Lamb Chops

  • ¼ c. lemon juice
  • ½ tsp. rosemary, crushed
  • 12 lamb rib chops (about 2 racks)
  • ¼ c. olive oil, extra virgin


  1. Combine yogurt, oregano, garlic salt, black pepper, cucumber and green onion in a medium bowl.
  2. Refrigerate to blend flavors.
  3. Combine oil, lemon juice and rosemary in a resealable plastic bag.
  4. Add lamb chops and toss to coat.
  5. Marinate a minimum of 15 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  7. Remove chops from bag; discard marinade.
  8. Placelamb chops on baking sheet; bake 15 to 20 minutes or until 145F.
  9. Serve with Tzatziki Sauce.
